Secure NFC tags you place at a venue or hand out. A guest taps one with their phone and lands on your event to RSVP, no app needed. Every tap creates a one-time link, so a PartyPass can't be copied or forwarded.

How do I set up a tag?

Tap it. An unclaimed tag opens Claim Your PartyPass; sign in, optionally pick an upcoming event, and tap Claim PartyPass. Then manage it under Dashboard → PartyPass.

What happens when a guest taps a tag?

Their phone opens your event page with the RSVP buttons. On iPhone that's a lightweight App Clip (I'm going 🤙, Maybe, Can't make it) with no download; on Android it opens in the browser. If check-in is on and the event is about to start, the tap checks them in instead.

Can I make the tap the only way to RSVP?

Yes. Require PartyPass Tap to RSVP sends anyone who hasn't tapped to a tap-required page; only people who tapped (or already RSVP'd) can see the event details. Add an RSVP Time Limit to give tappers a countdown.

Can I reuse tags for another event?

Yes. Unassign or reassign them from Dashboard → PartyPass (or Assign All My Devices to This Event from a new event's PartyPass Settings). Release returns a tag to the unclaimed pool for someone else to claim.

Can a guest share their tap link with a friend?

No. Each tap makes a fresh link that only works on the phone that tapped, and a tap can't be replayed.

Claim a tag

Tap an unclaimed tag with your phone. It opens Claim Your PartyPass™.
Sign in, optionally choose an event under Assign to Event (Optional), and tap Claim PartyPass (or Claim & Assign to Event).
You'll see Success! 🎉 with Manage PartyPasses and View Dashboard.

On iPhone

You can also claim from inside the app: Dashboard → PartyPass → Scan NFC Chip and hold your iPhone near the tag.

A tag someone else already owns shows This PartyPass is Already Claimed; a tag you own shows You Already Own This PartyPass.

Assign tags to an event

On the web (and Android)

Dashboard → PartyPass lists My PartyPass Devices with a count (3 devices • 2 assigned • 1 available), the event each is on, its tap count and last use, and Assign, Unassign, Release, and Bulk Assign buttons.
From an event, open the ••• menu → PartyPass Settings → Assign All My Devices to This Event. Tags on other events are moved over. Manage Individual Devices links back to the dashboard page.

On iPhone

Dashboard → PartyPass shows Total / Assigned / Free and Your PartyPass Chips with Assign to Event, Reassign, Unassign, and Release. From an event, ••• → PartyPass Settings → Assign All My Devices to This Event.

A tag that's claimed but not assigned sends tappers to a Party Foul page (this PartyPass isn't assigned to any events) with the device ID so the owner can fix it.

What a guest's tap does

iPhone: an App Clip opens instantly, no download, showing You're invited, the event, and I'm going 🤙 / Maybe / Can't make it. First-time guests confirm a phone number with a text code inside the clip. After they answer, iOS offers the full app.
Android and other phones: the tap opens the event page in the browser, where they RSVP and sign in the same way as any link.
When check-in is on and the event is within its check-in window, the tap opens check-in instead. In the iPhone App Clip that's Check-in is open with a Check in now button; in a browser it's the check-in page with I'm Here — Check In. See Check-in and attendance.

Every tap generates a unique link that works once, only on the phone that tapped, and Luau counts the taps for you. A reused link is refused, and Luau can deactivate a lost or counterfeit tag so its taps stop working. After the event ends, taps on a tag still assigned to it open the event page.

Tap-to-RSVP lock and time limit

In the event's PartyPass Settings:

Require PartyPass Tap to RSVP (Guests must tap a PartyPass to view event details). With this on, anyone who hasn't tapped a tag (and hasn't already RSVP'd) is sent to a tap-required RSVP page instead of the full event. Hosts and co-hosts always get through. The Share button is hidden for this event.
RSVP Time Limit: No time limit, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, or 24 hours after a tap. Tappers see a countdown (Complete your RSVP within 14:59; in the App Clip, RSVP closes in 14:59). When it runs out they can tap the tag again for a fresh window.

After the event

Unassign keeps the tag yours for next time, Reassign moves it straight to another event, and Release returns it to the unclaimed pool so anyone can claim it (you can claim it back later). Every claim, assignment, and release is logged on the tag.
