# The Next Steps cards > Invite Guests, Gift Registry, Make it a Group Effort, and Potluck. What each card does, when it shows, and where PartyPass and check-in actually live. They're shortcuts, not settings: each one opens a sheet you can also reach another way. ## Where the cards are **On the web (app.luau.co in any browser — this is also the Android experience):** The cards show **only in edit mode and only to the host** (co-hosts don't see them). If they've vanished, open the **•••** menu and tap **Edit Event**. Everything the cards open is also in that menu, so you never need them to get back to a feature. **In Luau for iPhone:** The **Next Steps** section sits above the RSVP buttons on your event and is always visible to you and your co-hosts while the event is upcoming. ## The cards **Invite Guests** — *Share your event with friends and family* (iPhone: *Share your event so people can RSVP*). Opens **Share Event**. On a phone that's a **Share via Text Message** button that opens a pre-filled text you add contacts to; on a desktop browser you get the link to copy, a **Send link to my phone** QR code, and a list of your **mutuals** (people you've shared events with before) to invite in one tap. There's no address-book import. This card hides itself as soon as the first guest RSVPs; the share button on the event page stays. **Gift Registry** — *Add items to your registry*. Paste product links from Amazon, Target, Walmart, or any Shopify store; guests see the registry on the event page and claim items so nobody buys the same thing twice. Web only for now (guests on iPhone open the event in a browser to claim). **Make it a Group Effort** — *Roles, shifts & supplies — everyone pitches in*. Opens the two-step sign-up wizard. Once published the card reads **Manage your Group Effort** with a running count of sign-ups (iPhone: **Manage Sign-ups**, *N of M spots filled*). You'll only see it on events that already run a potluck, or if sign-ups haven't reached your account yet (email support@luau.co). An event runs a potluck **or** a Group Effort, never both; a potluck that was set up and later turned off still counts as a potluck. Not on iPhone. ## Not cards, but often asked about - **PartyPass** — NFC tags you place at a venue so guests tap to RSVP or check in. It has no card; it's configured under **PartyPass Settings** in the ••• menu, and devices are managed at **Dashboard → PartyPass**. Claim a tag by tapping it, assign it to the event, place it at the venue, release it afterwards. - **Check-in** — once **Use PartyPass for Check-in** or **Location Check-in** is on, a **Check-ins** section appears on the event page for hosts, listing who's checked in and who hasn't. During the check-in window a tag tap opens check-in directly: **Check in now** in the iPhone App Clip, **I'm Here — Check In** in a browser. *Tap to Check In* is what a guest sees if they open the check-in page without tapping. - **Co-hosts** — **Manage Co-hosts** in the ••• menu. - **Text blasts** — not a feature. Date, time, or location changes notify RSVP'd guests automatically when you save (see [Edit your event](https://luau.co/help/edit-your-event)). ## Dashboard "Luau Next Steps" Separate from the event cards, new accounts see a **Luau Next Steps** checklist on the Dashboard: **Add Profile Picture**, **Connect Google Calendar** (where available), and **Create 1st Event**. It disappears once all three are done. ## Frequently asked **Q: What are the Next Steps cards?** Shortcuts on your event page for getting it ready: Invite Guests, Gift Registry, Make it a Group Effort, and (on older events) Make it a Potluck. Each opens something you can also reach from the ••• menu. **Q: Why did the Invite Guests card disappear?** It hides itself as soon as the first guest RSVPs. The share button on the event page stays, so you can keep inviting people. **Q: How do I invite guests?** Invite Guests opens Share Event: a pre-filled text message on a phone, or the link, a Send link to my phone QR code, and your mutuals list on desktop. Luau doesn't import your contacts. **Q: What is PartyPass?** NFC tags you place at a venue so guests can tap to RSVP or check in. It covers dishes plus roles, shifts, supplies with units, and zones. Potluck is the older feature and an event can run only one of the two. **Q: Is the gift registry on iPhone?** Not yet. Gift Registry and Potluck are web-only; open the event at app.luau.co to use them.
