# Manage sign-ups after publishing > Get back into the wizard, change counts and shifts, remove a role or the whole board, and what happens to people who already signed up. You reopen the same two-step wizard, and every change updates the board your guests see. ## Get back in **On the web (app.luau.co in any browser — this is also the Android experience):** Any of these opens the wizard, now titled **Your Group Effort**: - **•••** menu → **Sign-ups** → **Manage sign-ups** - the **Manage** button in the board's header on the event page - the **Manage your Group Effort** card (host, edit mode only) You don't need to be in edit mode for the first two. **In Luau for iPhone:** - **•••** menu → **Manage Sign-ups** - the **Manage Sign-ups** card in **Next Steps** (*N of M spots filled*) - the manage button in the **Sign-up Board** toolbar The wizard opens on step 1, filled in from the live board, with the note *Sign-ups are live — changes here update the board for your guests.* ## Change what you're asking for - **Rename or recount** a role or supply in step 1, then tap **Next**. Those edits go live at that point and don't message the volunteers already on it; only removals do. Per-shift headcounts and units are in step 2; save them with **Save changes** (iPhone: **Save Changes**). You'll see *Changes saved — the board is up to date.* - **Lowering a count below what's already claimed is refused for that one item.** If 6 people hold a shift, you can't set it to 4. The wizard shows which item was refused (for example *"Greeters": spots_needed cannot be below the 6 already claimed*) and keeps your other changes. If you really need fewer, ask a volunteer to cancel their own spot, or remove the shift or role and add it back with the new number (everyone on it is notified). - **Adding shifts** works the same as during setup. Shift times can't be edited in the wizard once the shift exists; remove it and add a new one instead, which notifies the people on it (below). - **Supplies never have shifts.** They're quantity only. ## Remove a role, supply, or shift Removing something that has sign-ups asks you first: **Remove this need?** (or **Remove this shift?**) with the names of everyone on it, and the note *Removing it cancels their sign-ups and lets them know.* Tap **Remove anyway** or **Keep it**. Affected guests get a notification that their spot no longer exists; their RSVP is untouched. Un-pairing a shift from a role (deselecting it in step 2) does the same for that shift's sign-ups. ## Remove the whole board **On the web (app.luau.co in any browser — this is also the Android experience):** At the bottom-left of step 1, tap **Remove sign-ups**. The dialog explains: *This takes the sign-up sheet off your invite — every role, shift, and supply. Your guests' RSVPs stay as they are.* For a series, tick **Also remove from the rest of this series** if you want. If people have already signed up, a second dialog lists them and the button becomes **Remove anyway**. **In Luau for iPhone:** Open the **•••** (More options) menu inside the setup flow and tap **Remove sign-ups**. Choose **Remove from this event** or **Remove from this and N more upcoming** for a series. If people have signed up you'll be asked to confirm with **Remove anyway**. Everyone with a sign-up is told the sheet was taken down; RSVPs are unchanged. Co-hosts can do everything here, including removing the board. ## Manage the people, not just the asks - **See who signed up, print, or export:** [Who signed up](https://luau.co/help/who-signed-up). - **Move or release a held spot, or assign a person yourself:** on the board, hosts see each name under its spot with controls to move or release a held spot, and an **+ Assign someone** link under every card. There's no control to cancel another guest's sign-up; they cancel their own. See [Assign someone or share a need](https://luau.co/help/assign-and-share-needs). - **Urgent flag:** on iPhone, open a card in step 2 and use **Mark urgent** to highlight it on the board. The web wizard doesn't have this control yet. ## Editing the event itself Changing the event date or time doesn't rewrite your shifts; shifts are stored as times on their own days. If you move the event, revisit the wizard. Guests who claimed shifts get the normal event-change notification when you save (see [Edit your event](https://luau.co/help/edit-your-event)). ## Frequently asked **Q: How do I edit the sign-up counts after publishing?** Open the ••• menu, tap Manage sign-ups (Manage Sign-ups on iPhone), change the number on the role or supply in step 1, and tap Next. Per-shift counts and units are in step 2; finish with Save changes. **Q: Why won't it let me lower a count?** A count can't go below what's already claimed. If 6 people hold a shift you can't set it to 4. Ask a volunteer to cancel their spot, or remove the shift or role and add it back with the new number (the people on it are notified). **Q: What happens to volunteers if I remove a shift or role?** You're asked to confirm with their names listed. Their sign-ups are cancelled and they get a notification; their RSVP to the event is unchanged. **Q: Can I remove the whole sign-up board without touching RSVPs?** Yes. Remove sign-ups (bottom of step 1 on the web, the ••• menu inside setup on iPhone) takes every role, shift, and supply off the invite. RSVPs stay exactly as they were. **Q: Can I mark a role or supply as urgent?** On iPhone, open the card in step 2 and turn on Mark urgent. The web wizard doesn't have an urgent control yet, though the board still shows urgent items first. **Q: If I change the event date, do my shifts move too?** No. Shifts are stored as their own dates and times. After moving an event, reopen Manage sign-ups and adjust them. **Q: Can I cancel a guest's sign-up for them?** Not from the app today. Ask the guest to tap Cancel on their sign-up, or remove the shift or role (which cancels everyone on it and notifies them).
