# Edit your event > Edit mode is inline on the event page. What the ••• menu controls (guest list, capacity, plus-ones, PartyPass, sharing) and what it doesn't. There's no separate editor: you flip the page into edit mode, change things in place, and save. ## Enter edit mode **On the web (app.luau.co in any browser — this is also the Android experience):** 1. Open your event (from the Dashboard or the event link). 2. As the host or co-host of an upcoming event you land in **edit mode automatically**; the address bar shows `?mode=edit`. To switch, open the **•••** button at the top of the page and tap **Edit Event** or **Preview Event** (the same button toggles). 3. Change the title, cover image (there's an option to have AI generate a poster), date, end date, start and end time, timezone, **Event Category**, description, location, and emoji set right on the page. Multi-day? Use **+ Make this a multi-day event** under the date. 4. A **Save Changes** / **Revert** bar appears as soon as something changed. Nothing is saved until you tap **Save Changes**. **In Luau for iPhone:** 1. Open your event and tap the **•••** button in the top bar. 2. Tap **Edit Event** (it becomes **Preview Event** while editing). 3. Edit the title, image, **Date** and **End Date** (or **Make multi-day event**), **Start** and **End** times, **Location**, description, **Event Category**, and the friendliness options in place. 4. Use the **Save Changes** / **Revert** bar at the bottom. **Changing the date, time, or location?** If anyone has RSVP'd Going or Maybe, saving asks **Notify N guests?** Choose **Save and notify** to send them the change (push if they have the app, then email, then text, whichever reaches them), or **Keep editing**. Past events can't be entered into edit mode. (On iPhone the ••• menu offers **Confirm Attendance** for past events instead.) ## The ••• menu, top to bottom **On the web (app.luau.co in any browser — this is also the Android experience):** - **Edit Event** / **Preview Event** — toggles edit mode. - **Manage Co-hosts** — host only on the web. You can also open **Share**, tap **Manage** next to a mutual, and use **Co-host Status → Add as Co-host** / **Remove Co-host** (also host only). New co-hosts are told right away (*[You] added you as a co-host for [event]*). - **Sign-ups** — **Make it a Group Effort** (before publishing) or **Manage sign-ups** (after), and **Who's signed up** once the board is live. See [Manage sign-ups](https://luau.co/help/manage-sign-ups). - **Guest List & Capacity** - **Hide Guest List** — only you and co-hosts see who RSVP'd. - **Hide "Can't" RSVPs** and **Hide "Maybe" RSVPs** — guests won't see those groups; you still do. - **Max Guests** — blank means no limit. Only Going RSVPs (and hosts) count toward it; Maybe doesn't. RSVPs past the cap go to the waitlist, and waitlisted guests move to Going automatically, in order, as spots free up, with a *You're off the waitlist!* notice. With **Max Waitlist** at 0, a guest who tries to RSVP Going to a full event is told it's full. - **Max Waitlist** — blank means unlimited; **0** means full is full. - **Allow Plus-Ones** and **Plus-Ones Count Toward Max**. Turning plus-ones off stops new ones; existing plus-ones stay. - **PartyPass Settings** — for events using PartyPass NFC tags: **Require PartyPass Tap to RSVP**, an **RSVP Time Limit** after a tap, **Use PartyPass for Check-in**, **Location Check-in** (needs a mappable address), **Check-in Opens**, **Allow Walk-ins**, and device assignment. Ignore this section if you don't have PartyPass devices. - **Event Options** — **Sharable** (whether guests can pass the invite on), and **Pet Friendly**, **Child Friendly**, **Alcohol Friendly**, each **Yes** / **No** / **Hide**. - **Help with these options** — opens this article. - **Delete Event** — host only, permanent, with a confirmation. Going and Maybe guests get a cancellation notice (*[Event] on [date] has been cancelled*) by push, email, or text; waitlisted and Can't guests aren't messaged, and volunteers get the cancellation rather than a separate sign-up notice. RSVPs are removed and synced Google Calendar entries are renamed 🚫 [CANCELLED]. Guest List, PartyPass, and Edit disappear from the menu once the event date has passed. **In Luau for iPhone:** - **Edit Event** / **Preview Event** - **Confirm Attendance** — past events only. - **Manage Sign-ups** and **Who's Signed Up** — once a board exists. See [Manage sign-ups](https://luau.co/help/manage-sign-ups). - **RSVP Emoji Set** - **Manage Co-hosts** — **Current Co-hosts**, then **Your Mutuals** with a search box and **Add as Co-host**. Co-hosts can add other co-hosts; only the host removes a co-host, and a co-host can step down themself here (on the web, ask the host). - **Manage Guest RSVPs** — RSVP on behalf of people you're connected with. - **Guest List & Capacity** — a sheet with **Hide Guest List**, **Hide "Can't" RSVPs**, **Hide "Maybe" RSVPs**, **Max Guests**, **Max Waitlist**, **Allow Plus-Ones**, **Plus-Ones Count Toward Max**. The two number fields have their own **Save** buttons. - **Guests Can Share: Yes / No** - **PartyPass Settings** — host only. - **Pet Friendly**, **Child Friendly**, **Alcohol** — host only, each **Yes** / **No** / **Hidden**. - **Delete Event** — host only. ## Things this menu does not have - **There is no "turn RSVPs off" switch.** If you need to stop new RSVPs, set **Max Guests** to the number you already have (and **Max Waitlist** to 0), or delete the event. Requiring a PartyPass tap is the only other gate, and it's meant for NFC-tag events. - **There is no "Signup Settings" item.** Everything about the board lives under **Manage sign-ups**. - **There is no separate editor page.** Edit Event edits in place. - **No duplicate, and no cancel for a standalone event.** Cancelling exists for series only: one date (**Cancel this event**) or the whole series (**Cancel All Events**), from the series page. Standalone events are deleted. See [What Luau does not have](https://luau.co/help/what-luau-does-not-have) for the full list. ## Frequently asked **Q: How do I change the date or time after guests have RSVP'd?** Open the event, tap Edit Event in the ••• menu, change the date or time in place, and tap Save Changes. Luau asks Notify N guests? and, if you choose Save and notify, tells everyone who RSVP'd Going or Maybe by push, email, or text. **Q: Is there a way to close or turn off RSVPs?** There's no RSVP on/off switch. Set Max Guests to the number you already have (and Max Waitlist to 0) under Guest List & Capacity, or delete the event. **Q: Can I hide who's coming?** Yes. Hide Guest List hides the whole list from guests; Hide "Can't" RSVPs and Hide "Maybe" RSVPs hide just those groups. You and your co-hosts still see everyone. **Q: Can co-hosts edit the event?** Yes. Co-hosts can edit the event, manage sign-ups, see the roster and check-ins, RSVP mutuals, and (on iPhone) add other co-hosts. Only the host can remove someone else as co-host or delete the event, though a co-host can step down themself on iPhone; PartyPass and friendliness settings are host-only there too. Co-hosts get the same sign-up pings, digests, and recaps as the host. **Q: Can I edit an event after it's over?** No. Past events can't enter edit mode. On iPhone the ••• menu offers Confirm Attendance for past events instead. **Q: How do I cancel an event?** A standalone event is deleted from the ••• menu (Delete Event, with a confirmation); Going and Maybe guests get a cancellation notice and their calendar entries are marked cancelled. One date of a series is cancelled from the series page with Cancel this event; the whole series with Cancel All Events. Either way Going and Maybe guests are told by push, email, or text (The [day] session is off — the rest of the schedule still stands, or Cancelled: the [series] has been called off. N events removed) and the affected calendar entries are cancelled. Reach the series page from the series link on any of its event pages. **Q: Where did the Next Steps cards go?** On the web they show only in edit mode and only to the host. Everything they open is also in the ••• menu, so tap Edit Event or use the menu.
